Lumber mills reject this portion of the tree as it is more difficult to work with and considered a defect. Bill looked at the tree forks discarded after logging with a different perspective. Knowing this wood held profound character and beauty, he chose to salvage the forks and turn them into beautiful pieces that could be be used in the home.
