Get Out, Go Alone, Get Away
Nature provides a metaphor on human life if we take time to be mindful. While hand-finishing wood flats that would become unique furniture pieces, I reflected on the experiences nature provided during my professional career. Writing poetry was a way to share those experiences so I wrote, Get Out Go Alone Get Away. Drawings by my daughter, Liz, bring visuals of nature to the reader.
This collection of poems represents an awareness of how nature, science, the arts and spirituality are interwoven into our lives. It portrays the genuine impressions gained when consciously stepping away from everyday turmoil.
